Ir. Ts. Amin Ramli

Profile

Amin Ramli graduated with Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2004. Upon graduating, he joined STV Incorporated, an award-winning A/E/C firm based in the United States, where he served as a Civil Engineer in the Transportation and Infrastructure Division. He was based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he served some of STV’s biggest clients such as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

In 2011, he returned to Malaysia and joined Straits Consulting Engineers as Chief Operating Officer. In 2013, he was appointed to the Board as Managing Director.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Practicing Certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as well as with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TXBPE) in the United States. He is also a Chartered Professional Engineer in Australia, an International Professional Engineer (IntPE), an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), an APEC Engineer, as well as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) with EnviroCert International, Inc and a certified Professional Technologist (Ts.) in Building and Construction Technology with the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT).

He is also a Practitioner Advisor for the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) ASCE Student Chapter, a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), the Institution of Engineers Australia (EA) and Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as well as the Malaysian Green Building Council (MGBC), the Malaysian Stormwater Organisation (MSO) and the Institute of Value Management Malaysia (IVMM).
