Strength in Collaboration — Designing for Sustainable Water Access
Straits Consulting Engineers recently concluded a focused 2-day design workshop in Pahang, with the active participation of our client, Pengurusan Air Pahang Berhad (PAIP). The session saw strong engagement from PAIP’s cross-functional team — including design, procurement, project management, quantity surveying, contracts, M&E, asset and operations — which enabled productive and holistic discussions on optimising the project’s technical and cost outcomes.
A particularly valuable aspect was the input from PAIP’s operations team, which gave our engineers deeper insight into real-world maintenance and operational challenges. This allows us to shape solutions that go beyond code compliance and constructability — towards designs that are safer, easier to maintain, and more economical over the long term.
Water is more than a utility — it is a shared resource that demands thoughtful stewardship. We are proud to work alongside PAIP in shaping infrastructure that not only meets today’s demands, but safeguards tomorrow’s supply.
