Ir. Abdul Wahab Abdul Hamid graduated with Bachelor of Science from Loughbrough University in 1979. He served with the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) as Project Engineer and Road Engineer from 1979 to 1982 involving survey works, design of flexible pavement, maintenance of Federal roads, design of road alignment and land acquisition.

He has served as Group General Manager and Chief Executive in UEM, Faber Group Bhd, Kinta Kellas PLC, Prolink Development Sdn Bhd (now known as UEM Land Sdn Bhd), Golden Hope Plantation Bhd, Ranhill Civil Sdn Bhd and SAJ Holdings Sdn Bhd. He has extensive experience in Civil Engineering works and was involved in some of Malaysia’s largest infrastructure projects such as North South Expressway Construction of R.C. Dams and Waste Treatment Plants, Housing Projects, ELITE Highway Malaysia-Singapore Second Crossing and Johor Water Projects.

He is a licensed Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
