Senior Project Manager

Job Description

We are a well-established engineering consultancy firm, seeking a highly motivated and responsible Senior Project Manager / Project Coordinator to join our team in Johor Bahru (JB). The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating infrastructure design projects and will be responsible for ensuring smooth communication between our firm, clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company during technical meetings with clients, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and local authorities.
• Coordinate and manage infrastructure design projects, ensuring timely completion and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for preparation of civil/structure design documents including earthwork design, road and drainage design, water supply system design and sewerage system design etc.
• Well verse & experience in civil engineering design.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Provide technical support and address queries related to project design during meetings.
• Collaborate with the design team and oversee the project lifecycle from planning to execution.
• Prepare project documentation and reports for client presentations and submission to authorities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Civil Engineering design and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of local codes, standards, and submission requirements.
• Strong understanding of local authority standards and regulations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Certified Professional Engineer (Ir.) is a bonus.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and independently.
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with local authorities’ requirements and approval processes in Johor Bahru.
